The Elle Effect
I need to start this post by saying that I don't like fake tans. Never have, never will.
That was until I tried Elle Effect....
What? You hate fake tan? I hear you cry. And yeah, I do, for a million reasons including but not limited to: the potato stink, the inevitable oompa loompa like colour, the lengthy and time consuming application/developing process and more than anything, the annoying way it fades unevenly leaving you with patchy skin like a bachelorette four days into her stay at the mansion. But almost all of these things don't apply to Elle Effect. Let me break it down for you:
SMELL: Rosy and surprisingly fresh. Only tiny slight whiff of potato smell a few hours after application.
TEXTURE: Smooth like chocolate mousse. Work quickly to avoid staining or streaking sections.
APPLICATION PROCESS: Simple. Apply with mit, dress when dry. Leave for 4-8 hours before showering.
DEVELOPED COLOUR: Golden bronze with warmer yellow-based undertones (that could just be my skin though)
LONGEVITY: I applied this at 2pm and then showered at 10pm. The Following morning the colour was maxo tano perfecto. By the next day it began to fade slightly and by the fifth day it seemed to have disappeared. And this is the great part, I barely noticed it fading as it faded completely evenly and I didn't exfoliate during this time.
PRICE: $39.95 AUD - totally reasonable.
WOULD I BUY IT AGAIN: Yes. Without a doubt.
