MBFWA: Maticevski

If there was a show of the week, it was hands down the Maticevski show and not just because of the amazing creations, and not just because of the incredible white wall (that will forever continue to flood my instagram feed) but because it was quite simply on another level. If you've not yet seen the show, thankfully the good peeps at Mercedes Benz & IMG have already uploaded the show so we can watch it over and over again. Toni himself has said that he designs gowns and beautiful stunning pieces for special occasions, so there was no yummy mummy day wear attire here (thankfully). Instead we saw a showcase of a creative mind - a collection of pieces that only Toni could imagine and realise. Couture if you like, but attainable and divinely wearable. Relevant beyond anything else, the collection exemplified Toni's knowledge of what women want and his ability to understand the fashion zeitgeist before it even happens.

When asked about the show this week, I said (very inarticulately)  'I've no words. I can't breathe over how much I loved this show. It's the best thing I've ever seen in my life' #fangirl much? And I'm unashamedly happy to fangirl over this because Toni is a rare gem whose talent can't be explained or duplicated.
