LUNAR NEW YEAR FESTIVAL ON CINESTILL 800T

I headed into Footscray a few days ago to attend their annual Lunar New Year Festival. Barkley Street was full of life with delicious Asian street food and plenty of interesting people and things to snap.

I shot the below on Cinestill 800T on my Canon AE-1 and am pretty happy with most shots. There were plenty of unusable frames, but overall I was pleasantly surprised by how well the manual focus of my lens performed. As expected, this film stock did it’s best work with night lights, but as you can see from some of the shots, the grain is pretty noticeable, but I put this down to my use (or misuse more like) of the camera and exposure settings, not the film itself. Regardless, this is already one of my favourite film stocks to shoot on and I’m already stockpiling it because you know, fomo.
