Remember Blogs?
These days Instagram has made many a blogger lazy and many a blog follower just as lazy. Even me, I check out my fav blogs probably half as much as what I used to, and why? Because instagram has made me lazy. But thanks to the introduction of Insta advertising (which has reminded me how all good things must come to an end - like Facebook advertising, to me this is the final signal that any sense of 'realness' is lost - enter Snapchat, at least for now anyway) I've been reminded to get back to basics and get back to the blogs that originally inspired me. So just in case you wanted to know, here's who I love and who's definitely worth checking out on a regular basis...
THE PETTICOAT
Cristina & Siro have quite possibly some of the most beautiful imagery I've ever seen on their blog and each post is as enticing as the next. A perfect mix of fashion, travel and lifestyle, The Petticoat is definitely one you need on your list.
ORACLEFOX
Amanda Shadforth, the creator of Oraclefox, has worked hard to create a long running and highly succesfull blog that is easily one of the best digital spaces going round on the interwebs. From incredible photographic work to her stellar styled outfit posts, Oraclefox is still a mainstay and a regular go to for me when in need of some inspiration.
PARIS IN FOUR MONTHS
While not a traditional fashion blogger, Carin Olsson's blog focuses on her dreamy lifestyle in Paris, where she moved originally for just four months, hence her blog title. So if you didn't already think Paris was a good idea, then you need to check out Carin's blog as like Oraclefox, it's a regualr for me when I need an inspo hit. From stunning shots of Paris to beautiful details of fine fashion, I always feel a little swept away when I visit Paris in Four Months.
AND I WAS LIKE
Bridget is hands down one of my favourite bloggers and has been for a looong time. Aside from being the ultimate pint sized babe who could look good in anything she threw on, she writes in a way that girls just get and can relate to. Aaand she always keeps me giggling too. Not one of those pretentious, product pushing bloggers, Bridget is as real as they get and it jsut so happens she's well dressed too.And I was like, there's very few people who could pull off an outfit post in McDonalds, but Bridget... well of course she can.
ELLEN CLAESSON
I have a fixation with Swedish bloggers and Ellen Claesson is right up there for me when it comes to the style stakes. She nails simple girl dressing with perfect Swedish swag - and by that I mean the ability to look completely natural and effortless in an organic way, not because someone told her to wear sneakers with her dress. Her minimal approach to style is crush worthy and you definitely should be checking her out.
